Re: Input Delay on Xbox Apex Legends

@RedSnapper2015 I can confirm this. And this will work with ANY controller. I own both the regular Xbox controller as well as an Elite Series 2 Xbox controller and tested both while Plugged In via a USB cable to the console and it fixes this issue temporarily. Recommend doing this till they can figure out a solution for wireless controllers!

This hack appears to have worked for me as well; input lag before trying it, input lag gone when using a wired connection (standard Microsoft Play And Charge kit).

Now to try and unlearn all the compensation I've been doing for the borked sensitivity.

@iBamboozler Just plug in your controller using a usb cable to the console. I'm playing right now and no input lag
  • @CrispeeNinja I did it. I feel like it’s improved but not back to what it’s supposed to be. Left analog still drifts in menus for sure. Maybe I’m trippin. If it is a fix…lucky us…cuz Respawn ain’t never fixing their game for us lol.

@iBamboozler Drifting os a different problem. Go to your settings on the console and in the Devices>Accessories area check your controller to see if it needs an update. I just updated mine a few days ago.
  • @CrispeeNinja When I say drifting, I’m referring to my cursor in menus and in death crates drifting beyond where I intend it to….because my input is delayed enough to cause me to hold the stick in a particular direction longer than I’m accustomed to on my sensitivity settings.

Just because you plugged your controller in and personally feel like you’re no longer experiencing any in game issues, doesn’t mean that’s a universal fix for the entire player base.

@iBamboozler Drifting is not directly related to the input lag. As I said. Look to your settings and accessories area on your console and apply a needed update for your controller. Also come to the realization that your controller is used and worn out. Don't try to blame a seperate issue on something that is not related. You're manufacturing your problem amd using a different issue as a scapegoat to said problem. The temporary fix we posted here is valid and works to make the game playable without the debilitating problem of input lag in matches. For the record. I also have one of my controllers that has drift. But I know for a fact that that drift has been developing from before this particular issue ever happened. I'm just gonna be more logical and understand that it's not the same issue.
  • @CrispeeNinja Do you know what conflation is? You’re conflating me saying my cursor is drifting in menus to me actually having stick drift. If I had stick drift, my cursor would move without me touching the analog stick.

Do you understand that my controller is no more used or worn out than it was before the update when it worked fine? It couldn’t possibly be more used and worn out because I haven’t been able to be using it 😂😂

@iBamboozler Guaranteed you are so stubborn that I know for a fact that you need to update the sofware in the controller and won't even try to plug in said controller to fix to temporarily fix it in game. And yes. Controllers wear out. Dont try to paint this famtasy that you're playing on some brand new conteoller and that it's unwearable lol. That's rich. Amd btw. There's also adjustments in the Apex menus to adjust for stick wear and move the deadzones to bandaid your controller aging.
