Re: [MegaThread] Apex Legends - Crashing on PC with no error message

Interesting.

My game doesn't crash when I play via the EA APP.
With Steam, I actually always have the crashes.

@Mountainer96If this issue is happening on steam only for you, then there must be a corrupted file on steam causing those crashes, Have you uninstalled apex legends fully and tried re-downloading it again ?

A friend of mine had a similar issue with his game crashing on steam. but on EA was running with no problems, and it turned out that there was a corrupted backed up file, he re-installed his windows few days ago and tried to " Restore " the apex legends backup file, and that's where the issue started happening. so uninstalling the backup files and re-downloading apex has resolved this issue for him.

I'm not sure if you've done anything similar to that, but if you haven't re-downloaded the game, please try that and let me know if that has resolved the issue for you.

  • Hello, after reading all 89 pages and trying around 100 potential fixes nothing worked, even VPN one. Good news that I managed to fix it for me and can play with no problem at all. The solution for me was rather simple. My CPU base speed is 3.40Ghz(you can check your base speed in task manager > performance tab), when I used high performance it was 5.5 Ghz(which is maximum on my CPU) which was causing my problem, so after changing it to power saver, I am able to play game once again. I hope it solves this issue for someone else. Maybe it will work with balanced also, but I am okay with playing on power saver still get 180+ fps.

  • Thanks for your Infos.
I already reinstall the game on Steam.
The crashes stopped when im using the VPN.

All in all its a weird situation

I have found a solution for myself.

Running Apex as admin, reinstalling the vc+ packages and running Apex in Windows7 compatibility mode.
