Re: Mic peaking when talking at a normal level

@Camse7

I'm noticing you're using an USB mic, note that any excessive electrical appliances nearby can cause issues with signal (e.c Fan, Kitchen appliances)

These typically also encounter issues when using enhancements through windows, it's recommended to disable them by following these steps:

  1. Right click the sound icon in the bottom right
  2. Select Sounds
  3. Navigate to the Communications tab
  4. Right click the Microphone in use and go to Properties
  5. Go to Advanced
  6. Uncheck the box "Enable Audio enhancements"

By any chance, are you using any extra software to manipulate your microphone? (e.c Voicemod, Voicemeeter, OBS, etc)

I've also noticed a program called "NoiseCancelingEngine.exe" encountering issues, which is most likely causing the issue.

Try to disable it, might resolve your issue.

    Im pretty sure that i have elgato sound installed but it should not be on. I also checked the "Enable Audio enhancements" box and it was not under my mic. I disabled "NoiseCancelingEngine.exe" but the problem is still there what else could it be?
