Re: Strike pack mod

Well in my first point i was talking about the support team taking account of actions manually rather than the anti-cheat itself.

External modifications might prove hard to fix like this, even with the prediction I doubt we could create a proper system that detects strike-packs.

On your second point, you're completely correct.

It's not like I'm saying we shouldn't do it at all, though we shouldn't rush towards a solution.

Blatant hacking is easily detected, though I feel like it would be hard to detect such behaviour on a console by using external mods.

Well, I haven't studied the workings of anti-cheats, though I think it will take certainly a while before we see a working system to battle strike packs.

    @XHelperZ dude just do the math - Apex has what 100 mil players.

    Say 0.1% actually bother to report people daily = 100000 reports a day

    Say you have to open and check it even if it takes like 10 seconds say for obvious aimbot = 1 mil seconds per day to review all reports = 278h = 35 people working full time only to review manual reports.

    Sure number of them might differ yet so can review time but you know when I am going. At this scale, if Apex would hire people to review these reports manually they might actually lose all the money 🙂

    Plus hiring and training takes time - say a new hack comes out or people start to report more => Apex would need to recruit X amount more people and make them do their job instantly = mission impossible.

    Finally they say that they can detect 3rd party applications like mouse macro script... well then solution is halfway there - just add other metrics to it like hit percentage, k/d ratio, player progress vs his previous stats etc. and viola you have yourself quite fool proof automated system. Yet I doubt that first part is actually working seeing what I am seeing :D
