I put 25 hours into apex this past week on Manjaro.
Only for today to see that EAC has reverted to dummy client error.
Sadly they won't do anything, there's a major disconnect between EA Community and Support Staff and the Actual developers.
On top of that there was no official announcement for steam deck support.
This was simply testing, they realize it wasn't worth the effort and risk of cheaters and removed EAC file, even though majority of linux users are not cheaters; but linux got this bad rap of being hackerman. I blame the neckbeards and hardcore EFF for spreading the proprietary software is bad and the closed source people painting the open source world as the boogie men of the internet.
It was fun while it lasted. Back to windows for the ball and chain, forced fed garbage.
