Steam keeps asking me to register when starting the game

Where did the issue occur? In the lobby (waiting area before the match)

What were you doing when the issue occurred? E.g. respawning a squad mate at a beacon, using an ability, a squad mate left the game. Trying to launch the game

What happens when the bug occurs? Tried logging in using steam (could log-in successfully before), but now it keeps asking me to register. I get the activation code successfully, but when I enter it, it keeps loading for a few seconds then goes back to the register screen.
What should be happening instead? The game should recognize and connect my account successfully
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Not sure

    update: fixed the issue by completely deleting the game and reinstalling on origin, simply copying the files to origin doesn't work (it kept trying to verify all 60GB over and over again, essentially got stuck in a verify loop). So now I'm using origin again, in case anyone was wondering about the solution

    This is not a fix, this is using Origin. Using Steam I still have the same issue.

    I have the same issue and I have to add that when I tryed in this same PC with a friend's Steam account (logging into steam first and then running the game) it works perfect. So I think that It's a problem with our accounts, not with the game itself.

    I know that it can hardly be called a solution, since it made me stop using steam, but I thought I should give an update on the matter instead of just never responding to the post ever again. It's a shame how some of our accounts are bugged, but going back to origin is a workaround for the issue.

    Im so mad that this is happening to me as well and there is still no solution other than Origin. EA whats wrong with you guys man

    I have a steam account also. I have no problems playing APex for months but now every time I launch the game it asks me to register or change my password. Ive changed my password multiple times but it still does not work.

    Please help
