Upgrade to PS5 not possible (PS Plus required?)

I am unable to upgrade from my PS4 version of Apex Legends to PS5.  The "Select Version" menu in the dashboard does not appear as it is supposed to.  WIth the help of the EA support I have tried se...

@JannLee360 FYI, I do not have an active PS Plus membership (I did have one, when the title first came out in 2019). I am also not planning on getting another PS Plus membership.
