When I go to swap to white armor on ground or supply crate, it doesn't switch

Where did the issue occur? In a match
Which part of the map or menu were you in? If you don't remember the exact name, please describe the area or what you were trying to do in the menu. Hammond Labs I think. The one with the tower without a ceiling
What were you doing when the issue occurred? E.g. respawning a squad mate at a beacon, using an ability, a squad mate left the game. I reloaded my weapon, and then pressed the equip button on white evo shield on the ground.
Did your squad mates also experience the issue? I don't know
How many matches had you played in a row before the issue occurred? 1 or 2

What happens when the bug occurs? I press equip on the white evo shield on the ground, it shows the shield animation on the edges of my screen, but the armor stays as the empty blue. The white armor moved as if it equipped and then immediately equipped back to the blue, even though I only pressed the equip button once.
What should be happening instead? Drop the blue armor and having full white armor on.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have little to no armor, go to quickly swap to white armor that's on the ground or in a supply crate, and then it keeps the empty armor.

It might also have to do with me sprinting? Because I'm constantly sprinting to avoid fire and all that, so I'm sprinting while picking up the armor. I dunno if that's actually the cause, I just know this has happened to me many times before.
