Wired Controller showed as disconnected

Just finished new Apex update and the main screen is showing that my wired controller is supposedly disconnected, except it works fine for anything else but the game. I'm seeing multiple reports on reddit and in some bug reports.

    Hey folks, we've just released an update that should help address this for many of you that have been reporting controller issues.

    Please be sure you've updated Apex and let us know if you're still encountering the issue from that point, thanks!

    I have this issue as well this time I'm having it with my PowerA controller for the series x! it's messing up my grind to get all the skins in the prize tracker!

    Im now having to do this for the second time in less than a three week period. It will fix it but only temporarily tbh. I literally am uninstalling and reinstalling this time and then if it continues after that i will never play this game again. People need to boycott this game on console till we get some fixes bc this is getting ridiculous. Thanks for somehow updating the game only to make it worse Respawn. Im a long time supporter of Apex but i simply cant keep dealing with this when it's the only game i have that this happens in.

    @WoodEnHand13 @ea I was able to get my wired controller to work for the last couple weeks, but now today I am once again back in the same boat. Interestingly enough, I noticed remote play was somehow disabled on my Xbox, and my controller stopped working after I re-enabled remote play. Not sure if that is a coincidence or not, but that's the only thing that changed. Please, EA, help us! (I've tried the DNS server change, removing game data, and turning off remote play again, then doing a hard power shut down, unplug console from power and turning back on, no luck)
