Same exact thing is happening on my Xbox Series X version of Apex (weird because party chat works just fine). I tried restarting console, clearing MAC address, and reinstalling Apex but nothing worked. I tried it (Apex game chat) on my old Xbox One X and it worked fine. Deductive reasoning would infer that this is a problem/bug introduced in the new next gen update for Xbox Series X. EA please notice this and apply a fix ASAP. It’s hard to win higher tier ranked games without proper communication.
