@H3412t I sat for three hours yesterday searching the internet on fixes, non worked, everything was working fine, but after the update 😞 😞
The 75gb update which did what seems like nothing but a resolution.
I had to fix audio and the game chat hasn't worked since.
- @H3412t I believe this is just a Xbox issue. Same for me, sound distant or static or cutting in and out. However party chat works perfectly fine. PS4 players , I can hear with no issue period.
Please, please escalate this issue, it's not even on the Trello tracker -
Every since the 'Next-Generation' update came out, players on all other platforms cannot hear game chat for people playing on the NEW Xbox Consoles. The microphone icon will not light up indicating we're speaking, players on other platforms complain that they; can only hear 1 out of every 5 words, our voice is unintelligible, they hear laggy speech cutting in and out and then it jumbles the dropped audio all together, etc.. This is ruining our experience with the game, as well as our friends/family that we play with on other platforms. Playing ranked is now more difficult, as Respawn said themselves, the game is trying to emphasize teamwork even more with Ranked Reloaded. Without being able to communicate how can we work as a team?
Just an FYI: This issue is NOT fixed by/related to the "stereo uncompressed" workaround. This issue is NOT fixed by following some of the forums older posts about game chat audio (e.g. resetting MAC address for console, etc.).
Not only are there multiple reports for this issue on this forum, but you can also see many people reporting this issue on the Apex sub-reddit. I understand you are very busy people, but please, let us know the developers are aware that this issues exists.
- @BirkelandPSN In addition, the game chat and game audio channels are combined, and if I am in a party chat I can still hear game chat, which is often extremely loud and unable to adjust game chat volume.
This has been going on and nothing has got fixed it’s really annoying playing with friends and even with randoms I can’t enjoy a good communication game because no one can hear me
