This is happening too me as well. I have the Astro A40s with Mixamp, updated the lastest firmware and still no ingame chat capability. I even bought a pair of A50s thinking it was maybe the headset. Did some digging and EA knows about the issue:

When to you finally fix the voice chat on Xbox? It's been broken since the beginning of april. TWO MONTH!!!!!! This is a freaking joke!
Just a speaker icon but no one can hear me. It worked before. Party chat works. The update * it up. I did not change anything. Astro Mix amp user.
Things like this should getting a fix in a matter of a fey days! In this state the game is unplayable yet again for the thousands time
