8.908 hours gone due to "Gameplay Enhancement" ban

I've experienced something similar to you, so I can deeply understand how you feel.

Unfortunately, based on my observations online and my own personal experience, EA's Terms of Service (TOS) department is currently in a state of disarray. Most appeals are ignored and rejected by AI or similar automated tools, with only a very small number "luckily" being received by real people still on duty.

I know you're hoping to find help on the EA forums, but the bad news is that under EA's latest terms of service, only the "all-powerful" TOS department has the authority to review and unban accounts. EA staff on the forums or elsewhere have neither the authority nor the interest to address your case, so don't expect them to provide any substantial help.

If you are truly innocent, please persevere with your appeal, my friend. I understand the pain and injustice of being wrongly banned, but so far, besides persistently fighting for your innocence, we lack other means to combat this injustice.

"If you are truly innocent, please persevere with your appeal" these things are very subjetive, because maybe for Respawn eyes, using "+reticle_color "2147483648 2147483648 2147483648" in launch options is agains't the rules, or using Cloudflare or a VPN is also agains't the rules, 

So i could easily say "I'm innocent" but for EA eyes, i'm not, so they'll keep rejecting my appeals, (if they are actually reviewing them)

And we need to understand that we are just simple people playing their game, we are not famous streamers with thousands of followers, and i mention this because i saw some months ago some streamers such as Mande

And also "Nix" (another popular streamer) get banned for the same reason as us "Gameplay enhancement"

However, because they are popular streamers, they got unbanned after 24hs+ 

If you look at Mande's post from reddit, paradoxally (who is an apex moderator) is saying "Apex is a dumpster fire. If this happens to a regular user how are they gonna get their account back?" 

And it's absolutely true, if actual pro players that are streaming everyday get banned, and they only get unbanned because they have contacts with EA because they are pros & popular streamers,  how a regular user is going to get unbanned? and the answer is simple, we won't

Anyway, the idea of this post was not to "pls unban me" but it was to raise awareness about these bans.

I can tell you with confidence that i am not "missing" Apex, so even if i get unbanned (which is something that would make me happy, mostly because of all the time invested in this game) i still don't think i'll keep playing

But i'm sure that there's people out there wanting to REALLY play this game but sadly they can't because they got banned for no reason, so all we can do is just hope that these bans start happen more "often" to more people, which hopefully will make EA devs focus on this issue!

I understand what you mean. Judging from what has happened, for EA, streamers and professional players are their gods; EA will only grovel before them. But for ordinary players, EA doesn't care at all.

brother! I also encountered the same problem because 'in-game enhancement' was banned. I spent a lot of time and money on this game, but every time TOS only responds to my appeal with robots, they are like medieval emperors waiting for players to kneel down and beg them! They only listen to big anchors and professional players.I have been wrongly banned for two months now and have appealed about 10 times. I have submitted clear screenshots and evidence, but they have not even seen my request and it has been rejected! Even the appeal I just submitted today, when I had a glass of water, went directly from 'add' to 'reject'.

It hasn't gone through the review stage at all. I really, really want to say dirty words about this matter!!!!

Hi, Same case here, I just logged on my second pc just to check the shop update last jan 28 then when i logged on  on my laptop i just got the message "register" then when i log in my account on ea help center i got an violation "'in-game enhancement" this is my second time i got ban , last time my account got unban but now they always decline my appeal. for any EA SUPPORT PLEASE HEAR ME/US!

I appreciate this post. This is a very big issue affect a large amount of players through EA titles. Awareness is the best we can do given they don't inform us of development on issues like this.

having the same issue was hoping to play psq thats coming up but wont get any help from ea nor does appealing make any difference 

its ridiculous, i understand that it isnt easy to read every report but if you have received your 8th appeal from a customer and a long time player YOU SHOULD HELP THEM!!!!!!!!
 

What truly infuriates me is that I’ve poured a huge amount of time and real money into the game, yet after being banned I was given no specifics: no banned device, no match ID, and no clear reason. When I appealed, all I got was an automated reply saying “you cheated.” It’s absolutely maddening. Well, once you've paid, they become the boss.

I had to figure out the reason for the ban on my own. After investigating, I found no recent account theft, and I’ve barely played lately. According to the tracker, my last multiplayer match was seven months ago—and it was just one Gold-ranked game. The last time I played consistently was in May 2025, when I was pushing for Master rank in Diamond lobbies. In the past six months, I’ve only been in the training range—why would I even cheat there?

I’ve reached Master rank on both mouse-and-keyboard and controller, invested over 4,000 hours, and purchased five heirlooms. Since I’m from China, I’ve spent several times more on this game than players in Europe or the U.S. I even downloaded my EA data and checked my match history—there was no record of a ban, and no further details were provided.

The only possible reason I can think of is that my IP changed due to using a VPN. Is that really worth a permanent ban? Meanwhile, DDoSers and DMA cheaters are probably still running rampant in-game. They don’t care about bans—accounts are disposable to them. It feels like the system is punishing loyal, long-term players who actually support the game. This just doesn’t make any sense.

And finally, I just need to vent—this game has been my favorite since day one. Back when I was a newbie, I'd die right after dropping, over and over all night long, with the server running in slow motion like time was stretched by dozens of times. My friends and I still found it fun. Later, I got stomped by smurfs, ran into countless cheaters, survived server attacks, and put up with all kinds of bugs. Through all of that, I stuck with this game. Even since last year, when I barely played anymore, I’d still come back now and then just to spend time in the firing range. And now this happens. It really, bad

The irony is that in EA's anti-cheat report released last December, they mentioned that for those suspected of cheating, they would first implement a 24-hour ban for observation, and then decide whether to further permanently ban them based on data detection.

However, as many players have experienced, it seems that ordinary players who did not cheat are being permanently banned directly. So, for them, cheaters are preferred over non-cheaters. 

That's very "funny".

I think it might be the no render on input launch option that is flagging it because I’m running the same one and I also got banned from apex

What was your launch options if you mind me asking?

i use a long one it could be that would be strange though

This is what the official function for the launch option is. So, could it be possible for apex to confuse this with a cheating device like a Xim because it slightly changes the way the input is processed?

"-no_render_on_input_thread
Prevents multithreaded rendering from using the same CPU core as input processing. For players with a high number of CPU cores (min. 6), this can improve the stability of frame rates and input lag, especially if they have a high polling rate mouse or controller. For other players, this option could worsen rendering performance." 

I have used these launch options:

-dev +fps_max 219 +cl_showpos 1 +mat_letterbox_aspect_min 1 -w 1440 -h 1080 -no_render_on_input_thread

Just got banned for the same reason , having no clue what it is. Was #550 pred on pc. 40 mythic items deep. Account perma banned. Was banned in Jan for same thing but thought it was a bug & got my account back. As of March 2nd it returned and now my appeals aren’t going through. This game is ran by literal clowns. I urge nobody to buy new event. Never know if your next.
