Hey, I'm facing the same issues as the guys above, the problem is - DR WEB (the app that causes this 104 error) is an anti-virus used around our region, and with the latest update the game started treating it as an undesirable software. This anti-virus is paid, and currently we either have to fully disable it every time we want to play battlefield (which is a huge pain, as this set of programs gets rooted deep inside Windows environment, and disabling it would take tens of minutes and a full online tutorial), or just go buy another anti-virus. This is a huge problem, which is caused by the EA app itself, not the anti-virus program. Please create a ticket for the anti-cheat team to look into this issue, I am willing to provide log data / have a Zoom call, if it helps to identify the root cause of this issue. It is really frustrating, this is the second time this Autumn BF2042 flat-out refuses to launch for me.
