Hey, I’ve been dealing with the exact same problem. The game hangs on the splash screen and closes, and the EA Anti-Cheat Service keeps failing with ExitType: 25 (WAIT_TIMEOUT).
I’ve tried just about everything. I completely uninstalled and reinstalled both the Steam and EA App versions, manually confirming all game files were deleted. I used the EA Anti-Cheat Installer from EA’s website multiple times to repair/reinstall the service. I checked Windows 11 settings: BIOS virtualization and Secure Boot enabled, Hyper-V supported, memory integrity disabled. I disabled Xbox Game Bar, overlays, and other potential conflicts. I verified Visual C++ 2015–2022 x86/x64 runtimes and .NET 6/7 runtimes are installed. I ran SFC and DISM scans and confirmed no other hypervisors or conflicting drivers.
Despite all that, the anti-cheat service still terminates unexpectedly, preventing the game from launching. Event Viewer logs show Failed retrieving service path and ExitType: 25 (WAIT_TIMEOUT).
I don't know what else to try at this point... i just want to play the game :(
