First Impressions – Battlefield 6 Beta
I’ve been playing Battlefield for years – started with BF4, absolutely loved BF1, thought BF5 was “meh,” and the last one… well, let’s not talk about it. So when I launched the BF6 beta, I was hyped. And now? My feelings are as mixed as instant soup.
Spawn → take two steps → bullets from every direction. Right, left, behind, above… the only place I haven’t been shot from is hell itself (yet). Sometimes I feel like I’m getting hit by a sniper who hasn’t even been born. Before I can figure out where I am, I’m already looking at the respawn screen.
Weapon balance? Hmm… someone drops me with four bullets to the leg, yet I have to dump half a mag into them – and still usually end up dead. Score? Me: 0 – Enemy Army: 100.
Graphics? Beautiful. They nailed that. Audio? Honestly feels a bit weak, lacking that punch. But I can feel the return to what made Battlefield… Battlefield – big battles, chaos, explosions. The thing is… the pace is absolutely insane. Really, really fast. Older BF map design felt smarter – you didn’t have enemies shooting at you from thirty angles at once. Here, it’s more like “Battlefield: Hunger Games.”
Maybe I got rusty since BF5, maybe I just need to adapt. But after three hours in the beta, I felt like I was alone against the entire enemy faction… and they all knew exactly where I was.
How about you guys? Are you feeling the same, or am I just a spoiled veteran?
