Hey devs: lets me honest now, ok?

YOU HAVENT PLAYED A SINGLE BATTLEFIELD GAME BEFORE BATTLEFIELD 2042
I would like to actually have a grown up conversation with you about the decisions you have made. I am a 40+ year old man so lets actually have a grown up talk.
You know as well as 80% of the Battlefield 3 and 4 vets that this is a bit of a stretch from those two ealier games, And you clearly paying streamers to say otherwize was just a straight up lie. WHY?
Why could you not be honest and say: You know what, This is as close to Battlefield as we want to go. Its not gonna be battlefield nor will it feel like BF 3 / 4. If you think so, Its better you get yourself ready for it to not be dissapointed. This is our view/take off it. But, instead you pay streamers to say its like the "old battlefield games" and trick people. Why?
And i am (even if it sounds lke it) not singling you out, Well in some way i do because i write on this forum. There are other devs (clearly) using twitch streamers the same and even worse. You are not even scratching the surfece of what some devvs and stuidos pay streamers to lie about. Its insane. And with that said.
I GET WHY YOU DID IT, But i am asking you to be honest with the veterans. WHY did you decide to straight up lie instead of saying what i wrote above.
I as a BF vet at least (cant speak for everyone) would for sure have gone:
But why call it Battlefield if so? But, At least they are honest. Lets see what they can do.
I bet they will do better then 2047. I believe in them at least they are straight up with us.
Now it was like: OH ITS BATTLEFIELD !!! , ITS BACK, And then it was like.. wait.. this dont feel like bf.
So why did the streamers say its Battle... oh.. i get it.. .they payed them. thats why.
This reminds me, (again not talking for everyone here) more about cod warzone. Its a fun fps. You sure as hell know what you are doing with fps games. No one is trying to take that from you and the devs are CLEARLY skilld in what they do. So hats off to them. We have seen many try (World war 3 ) and fail hard.
So if anything that just show, That coming to FPS games you know what you are doing and you should have a solid "hat off" moment regarding that. But we all know, its for sure not Battlefield.
Then you ask: What is it then? Its Battlefield on Cr*ck: With speed we both can agree on is more towards COD then BF.
Remember the veterans of BF put your studio on the map? The ones who have been playing Battlefield sence 1942. You enjoy fooling those ppl for the COD crowd? Because it does feel you are doing it right now.
Or, and most likely: It was alwasy about what WE ALL knew, All the way back from Battlefield 3 and 4. You were trying to steal the ppl from COD over to BF.
Well good work, You got them in the beta,. They will prob stay in this game.
Until the new "dopamine" fix comes out and they are gone.
[NOTE WITH THIS BELOW I AM NOT OFC TALKING ABOUT EVERYONE SO IF YOU AINT ONE OF THESE: DONT TAKE THIS AS AN PERSONAL ATTACK NOR ANYTHING LIKE IT.
But the MAJORITY OF COD PPL ARE YOUNGER PEOPLE - Its no hate saying that and there is no hate saying they will move on when the new dopamine fix fps shooter is out. ITS FACTS.
Kids want new experiences, they search for it to get that dopamine fix, While "older" ppl usually find there "base" and stay there thanks to either the communnity or just the memory of it or its where they feel they can have fun, Away from the 180, no scope, twitch shooter, insane reaction speed from 15 year olds.
OLD(er) ppl usually dont jump from fps game to fps game (mostly so online games because we KNOW that there is a new crowd (kids) with insane skill in fps games and reaction where many of the 40+ crowd dont stand a chance. SO older ppl stay with older FPS games where we are at least good, or rather good enough to fight back because we played the game for years and years. You can insert tactical shooters like Hell let loose/SQUAD/ARMA etc etc here , Even good old counter strike to some level.
Why you think the old vets still play BF4? For the dopamine fix they got when it was new or for fun and get the real BF experience they remember from all those years playing?
Let me tell you: Most of us Play BF4 again because it FEELS like a Battlefield game. Its slower, Its more tactical, It dont have weapon slings, It dont have gadgets in the way this have, It dont have soldiers on crack with super speed, It dont have Hardcore TTK as a "normal" game mode.. i can continue.
(No attack against the younger ppl of BF6) but why do you think a lot of "older" ppl complain about the TTK in BF6? Because NORMAL MODE in BF4 was nothing like this: HARDCORE was.
HARDCORE you only played if you wanna sweat-lord yourself like you have to do now in BF6 from start to finish.
Normal was way more tactical, slower and you had reaction to actually turn around and fight back in EVERY GUN FIGHT you usually got into. In this you see someone you die. You cant deny it. You barely have a chance to jump in bhehind a cover before you get 4 bullets in your back and you see a respawn screen.
Back to the talk about Battlefield 4 and what it does have: IT DOES have is an incredible solid community. Because a server-browser mostly. But also because its slower and there for more tactical. You actually have time to think and not just sprint around like someone on cr*ck. Dying, respawning, dying, respawning and repeat.
Now compare that with COD. I would strongly argue that most ppl playing cod are formost dopamine hunters. As soon as the next "twitch shooter" arrives they will jump to that. MOSTLY SO the twitch streamers you invited. Again, Why the hell did you invite those ppl... but again, we all know.
You think they gonna stay with BF6 when the new "dopamine fix" game is out? That will give em views and clicks and do you think YOUTUBERS will stay with this game and make videos about it when the next fast pased game is out that will give em clicks and likes and revenue on twitch?
Go over the BF4 on twitch and look how many ppl that play it. A VERY FEW. Then ask the ppl WHO play it what they think of it. And they TO THIS DAY, say its one of the best FPS shooters in its style to date.
So with that said, LEts go back to my earlier statement: WHO do you think will stay with this game?
The Battlefield veterans that wanted a BF3 / 4, The COD players that will have it in their back-log to play from time to time between there ninehundredandeleventh other fast fps games?
Also: Why did you have to "re-think" the game, I get it, Games need to be modernized. But why naming the game Battlefield if its nothing more then the name? Why have you changed things that dident need to be changed nor asked for?
You changed some things that ppl asked for, for years. (dragging etc). Amazing work, thank you.
But what is this speed? What are these gadgets? What are these un-locked weapons mode that CLEARLY are put before locked-mode pushing that mode into the background of the NON existing server browser that long time vets ALSO asked for, Way back before this beta was even talked about.
But what angers me most of all, and many others even more. WHY did you invite COD people to the god **bleep** BATTLEFIELD STREAM? You SHOULD have invited the long time Battlefield vets with thousand of hours in BF3 and 4 and even maybe 2 to give you a good guide line.
But no, Instead you invite ,, E-girls and COD streamers, TWITCH streamers at that that. Is sthis where we are now? Inviting kids and online beggars that will go back to COD the second its released? I guess cash is king right and f** everyone else.
WITH all this said: I will most likely end up buiying this game afterall because i want to believe you down the road when the fuzz is over and the rose tinted glasses are off and the next COD is out and ppl are playing other games again... Listen to the veterans that will stay with this and give you ideas how you can make it better. Like me and many others.
So even after all i said: I still say this: Keep up the good work, you ARE doing great. But keep the focus on what is important AND REMEMBER WHERE THIS STUDIO CAME FROM. BATTLEFIELD:
THIS IS NOT COD, IT WILL NEVER BE COD. They are two completely different games and have always been, The sooner you realize that the sooner i can prommise you that you will have empty BF4 / 3 servers and every single one of those ppl there will be playing BF6 until 15+ years from now.
