Best PC Settings to Boost FPS & Visibility in Battlefield 6 (Kephren’s Guide)
- Windows Optimization
- Disable Game Bar (unless on Ryzen 7900/7950X3D CPUs).
- Enable Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling.
- Turn off all Windows Capture features.
- Keep Game Mode ON (improved allocation in Win 11).
- Set Power Plan to Balanced (better long-term boost clock than Best Performance).
- Enable XMP in BIOS, update all chipset, GPU, and BIOS drivers for top stability/performance.
- NVIDIA Settings
- Low Latency Mode: ON.
- Lock Max Frame Rate: Match your monitor’s refresh rate minus a couple Hz (e.g., 237 FPS for 240 Hz).
- Increase Shader Cache size if you play many games.
- G-Sync: Ensure it's activated in BOTH monitor and software, set monitor refresh to max.
- Use native resolution, leverage 10-bit color, maximum dynamic range, and dial up digital vibrance (e.g., 55/100 for visibility).
- Max Power Limit (e.g., 133%) for better sustained boost clocks.
- Always keep drivers updated for best performance.
- AMD Radeon Settings
- Enable FreeSync (monitor and GPU).
- Always use a Custom Graphics Profile—select dedicated GPU, not integrated.
- Force FSR4 (if available); otherwise, try XESS 2.1 for upscaling on older Radeon cards.
- Radeon Chill: ON—lock FPS to monitor Hz minus 3 for stable FreeSync operation.
- Never use anti-lag or Radeon Boost.
- Image Sharpening: Enable, especially for blurry games.
- Reset Shader Cache if experiencing stutters.
- Update all drivers/firmware often.
- In-Game Battlefield 6 Settings
- Use Full Screen, native resolution, max out refresh rate, disable V-Sync.
- Horizontal FOV can go up to 120; recommended is 104 for a balance of visibility and FPS.
- Turn OFF all motion blur, camera shake, chromatic aberration, vignette, film grain.
- Texture/filtering: Max out if VRAM allows; keep at least 10% unused.
- Mesh, terrain, and detail: Set to Low for a 6% FPS boost.
- Effects & Volume Quality: Set to Low—can provide 12%+ FPS boost.
- Lighting/Shadow: All local/sun shadows/minimum—up to 15% more FPS.
- Reflection/Screen space: LOW/OFF for better consistency.
- Post-processing/Screen Space AO/GI: LOW/OFF (less blur, up to 4% FPS).
- CPU-bound settings: Medium (test for your hardware).
- Upscaling: DLSS4 for NVIDIA (Quality for 1080p, Balance for 1440p+), avoid frame generation if prioritizing low input lag.
- For Radeon: FSR3.1, try XESS 2.1 if available (better quality/stability).
- In-game sharpness: Adjust to taste; 65% recommended if blurry.
- Frame cap: If not using external software, limit FPS in-game just below monitor refresh rate.
