Please disable crossplay by default

With the early success of the open beta, please disable crossplay by default.

The main argument for having it ON by default is to ensure quick access to a lobby. But with the never ending difficulty for FPS developers to balance input and aim assist, there is no need for automatic crossplay until the player count drops considerably.

In My Opinion it should be this

    On PC:

    • Crossplay Off = PC Players Only
    • Crossplay On = PC, Xbox and Playstation

    On Console:

    • Crossplay Off = Console Players Only (xbox/playstation)
    • Crossplay On = Console Players and PC Players

The worst part about crossplay-enabled games is you're often 2nd-class players if you disable crossplay on PC.

For example certain games would have a separate queue for PC players with crossplay off, meaning you aren't able to be matched with PC players who had crossplay on.

I absolutely support having crossplay be opt-in instead of opt-out, but also PC players who opt-in to crossplay should still be able to fill a PC crossplay-off lobby.

I agree with everything you said here.

Even if there was a prompt on start up of the game, where instead of "press X to continue" is displayed, make it "would you like to enable crossplay for your session? Yes (x) No (0)"
