Small list of Key Bindings/UI/Settings Feedback

Hi All, 

I'm going to keep this feedback fairly simple, rather than tackle the large things that need addressing that lots of people have mentioned. I thought I would put together a list of small things that I think need addressing around the UI and the settings system. Most of these are PC focused as that was what I played on.

  • Overall I think many people have suggested the settings are confusing and kind of inconsistent in where things are. I would certainly move the HUD settings out of graphics to their own section to help with this but I do think it all needs a look at.
  • Adding a search would help with finding settings that you are looking for.
  • Escape needs to do the same as the back button on the settings menu. At the moment it drops on the first page.
  •  Have seperate keybinds for the comm rose and ping as an option as well as the combined keybinding.
  • 5 by default is the contextual action, I have no idea what this does and it never came up in any gameplay.
  • You can't seem to rebind 6 the class active ability.
  • The weapon mount contextual popup UI doesn't change the keybinding if you modify the key.
    Remove the modify weapon button that brings up a few extra options and then having to click it again to get to the customise page we could just have the extra options (favourite I think)  on the same level.
  •  Clicking on a weapon to change selection should go to that weapon category on the selection page, at the moment it goes to the favourites which is confusing.
  • There is no way to turn off the ping text in the kill feed, even if you turn off the kill feed they still appear. This should be an option in the kill feed section to turn off.
  • Further to this I would move the text about resupply/revive to the kill feed area. It's super odd being in the middle of the screen and not that important to gameplay. Again I would add the option to the kill feed section.
  • The UI on who is the squad leader is super unintuitive that instead of a circle it's a cross/circle shape. This needs to be clear to the user and the icon more intuitive.
  • If you are crouched via hold and then press crouch toggle (to lock in being crouched so you can release hold) your soldier will stand up as if the crouch toggle command was ignored. I think this doesn't make sense and tracking crouch hold should be separate for crouch toggle and you are crouching if either are on.
  • Q/E is used to go left/right in menus but Z/C to do the same for class selection, this feels inconsistent and all can't be modified. Also X to customize the class loadout can't be changed.
  •  Let me get to class modification quicker. As after a game finishes but before the next one starts I normally want to look at the new mods I have unlocked and tweak stuff, at the moment you have no time due to the UI, so you miss the match start, doing this in the spawn.
  • Let you access the settings page in the test range, it's so annoying trying to tweak the settings to dial in sensitivity when you have to leave the range each time.
  • Also as a side have an expanded range that has all the vehicles so we can test them out of games.
