Squad reinforce system
I would personally like to see a return of the squad reinforce system from Battlefield, five 1 motivates the squad to capture and hold of objective 2 vehicles, support weapons, maybe a cruise miss...

The best squad play i have experienced is actually from Battlefield 2142. I guess not many have played that old gem but it was similar to what you describe but more tactical i think and more squad focused.
