Vehicles tickle instead

So I’ve been playing for a few hours and noticed that splash damage from a tank round, rpg or bomb is basically non existent. Especially when taking damage prior to? I mean don’t get me wrong I know I can’t get kills all the time but “5” damage to someone who takes a tank round.
