Nah, my friends who play on consoles love playing with me, and I'm on PC. Limiting the playerbase interaction is detrimental. If you want it that badly, they should add an on-off switch and not remove it entirely.

The OP is just asking for that as an option.
If his choice is impopular, he would not find matches and turn it back on.
