I don’t agree with some of your specific points, but I definitely agree with your overall statement. Starting with Battlefield 1, the series has gradually moved away from its "original" formula, becoming more tailored to a broader audience. Still, it might just be that I'm slow to embrace change, but that’s how I see it for now.
The sound and gameplay feels alot better to me in bf5 and bf1. The current bf6 beta felt like cod with smaller maps and hitscans and alot less destruction (maybe cuz I played The Finals& Arc which had peak sound design from og bf devs)
