So this might be applicable to those experiencing the "Authentication Error" upon reaching your spot when queuing into the game. I have verified files for the game and attempted to launch the open beta both through steam (the primary method I was using to play) and the EA app. However both resulted in to the authentication error being presented to me after getting to my spot in the queue.
I had no such issue before during the early access period of the beta. And this problem only occurred after the game switched to the open access period. Below is a copy of my EA Account Information downloaded from the website. It provides proof that I have been banned from the game; (EA Data Subject Access number has been removed for privacy).
As you can seen the ban started on August the 9th when the beta switched to the open access period. I was granted early access officially via email and did not use an illegal method to gain access to the beta.
I downloaded the early access beta through steam during the preload on August 4th and played largely without issue up until the false ban. I have had no history of cheating and have never had a penalty on my account. Either with a Battlefield game or with any other EA title. As evidenced by this picture from the EA account website.
I have submitted an appeal but felt I should also post here for those having an issue with their client not being able to log in even though they are not having connection issues. And had previously been able to play the beta without issue. I believe the anti-cheat for the game was too aggressive and one of the following conditions caused me to be banned:
- I had a twitch stream open in the background to get twitch drops. The browser I use is Brave, which might have been mistaken for a cheating program by the anti-cheat.
- On other occasions the only other program running in the background was a music player (music bee). This tripped the anti-cheat and might have caused me to get banned,
- Because I have previously played Battlefield Labs version of the game with the EA app, and then moved to Steam accessing the game early and subsequently playing early I was banned?
Please respond to this thread if you have been having similar issues and have downloaded your EA data to see if you too have been banned falsely without a penalty on your account.

I have the same problem, the only thing we can do is wait.

Did you also submit an appeal yet? I got a warning about high volume, I figured that would be the case and I am still waiting to see if I get a ticket or anything in my email.

Yup, same thing here. No issues the first two days but the second the early release ends I'm banned. Never been banned before and never cheated before on any game.

There seems to be quite a few of us, I was tearing my hair out thinking it was my internet or computer 😅. I have also followed both official twitter accounts for some acknowledgements of this bug but have yet to find anything mostly just the promotional stuff so far. I hope that if enough of us get together in this thread we will be seen and have the bans overturned before Weekend 2 of the open beta. I really want to play on Empire State.

Something else is absolutely depressing. Is there really no one who could explain in one topic what is happening to the bans of the innocent? 1 person who will spend 10 minutes writing a post.. This is absurd
Windows has been reinstalled 2 times. Because I thought my network card was broken or something like that.

Please provide a link to the page where to write the appeal.

Sure thing! Here you go:
https://help.ea.com/en/customer-care/
When filling out the form I used the following responses:
- What kind of issue are you having?
- "Submit an appeal"
- Search for a game or product
- "Battlefield 6"
- Select Your Console
- "Steam-PC" (If you are using another platform, like the EA app, I suggest you select that instead)
- Describe your issue
- I would just explain that their might be a potential issue revolving around false bans and maybe either link back to this thread. I would also upload a file showing that you have been banned from the game via your profile data you can download from the EA website.

I had the same problem, but I didn't receive any emails from EA, so I slept on it and then I couldn't play Battlefield 6. I didn't find the ban until I downloaded my EA profile.
- Xtreme1788 days agoSeasoned Rookie
There is very little to no communication regarding the issues and no emails are really being sent out
- Bzhan263412-KLL8 days agoRising Rookie
Yes, there was no news. I didn't know I was banned until I found my EA file.

Happened to me as well. Never been banned before. I know this will get resolved but I hope it happens before Week 2... Please sort this out EA.

Me too, but it seems a bit difficult now.

I received a response and it says that they are right in blocking my account, 2 days of closed beta were going well, when the open beta opened I was banned, how long can I file an appeal?
- Xtreme1788 days agoSeasoned Rookie
The appeals appear to be open using the submission form found here: https://help.ea.com/en/customer-care/
They operate under UTC time, so just be aware of that when it comes to submission times.

This is such bull**bleep**. EA touting their ban numbers when its us in the forum all wrongfully banned by their overly aggressive anti cheat. Probably some AI junk that is mass flagging legit programs. Cant get through to their support either because its non existent. Oh well, was fun for the few hours it lasted. 😂🗣️

Pretty much exact same thing happened to me too. Started getting authentication problems when open beta started. I submitted an appeal last weekend and just heard back.
“We have confirmed that your account was involved in cheating. Because of this, we will not remove the sanction on your account.”
I’ve never used cheats and wouldn’t even know how to use them on a beta lol. Something in their system must be messed up, was about to pre order too.
