So this might be applicable to those experiencing the "Authentication Error" upon reaching your spot when queuing into the game. I have verified files for the game and attempted to launch the open beta both through steam (the primary method I was using to play) and the EA app. However both resulted in to the authentication error being presented to me after getting to my spot in the queue.
I had no such issue before during the early access period of the beta. And this problem only occurred after the game switched to the open access period. Below is a copy of my EA Account Information downloaded from the website. It provides proof that I have been banned from the game; (EA Data Subject Access number has been removed for privacy).
As you can seen the ban started on August the 9th when the beta switched to the open access period. I was granted early access officially via email and did not use an illegal method to gain access to the beta.
I downloaded the early access beta through steam during the preload on August 4th and played largely without issue up until the false ban. I have had no history of cheating and have never had a penalty on my account. Either with a Battlefield game or with any other EA title. As evidenced by this picture from the EA account website.
I have submitted an appeal but felt I should also post here for those having an issue with their client not being able to log in even though they are not having connection issues. And had previously been able to play the beta without issue. I believe the anti-cheat for the game was too aggressive and one of the following conditions caused me to be banned:
- I had a twitch stream open in the background to get twitch drops. The browser I use is Brave, which might have been mistaken for a cheating program by the anti-cheat.
- On other occasions the only other program running in the background was a music player (music bee). This tripped the anti-cheat and might have caused me to get banned,
- Because I have previously played Battlefield Labs version of the game with the EA app, and then moved to Steam accessing the game early and subsequently playing early I was banned?
Please respond to this thread if you have been having similar issues and have downloaded your EA data to see if you too have been banned falsely without a penalty on your account.
Please provide a link to the page where to write the appeal.

Sure thing! Here you go:
https://help.ea.com/en/customer-care/
When filling out the form I used the following responses:
- What kind of issue are you having?
- "Submit an appeal"
- Search for a game or product
- "Battlefield 6"
- Select Your Console
- "Steam-PC" (If you are using another platform, like the EA app, I suggest you select that instead)
- Describe your issue
- I would just explain that their might be a potential issue revolving around false bans and maybe either link back to this thread. I would also upload a file showing that you have been banned from the game via your profile data you can download from the EA website.
