I have managed to get it to work, my steps were:
Uninstalled Steam version.
Removed all steam version inbound rules in windows defender
Reintalled Steam Version on my C: Partition so that game path is
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\Glacier Event\
Do not run the game after intall
Go to Windows Defender
manually add 4 Inbound rules
1 TPC for bfevent.exe Profile Public
1 UDP for bfevent.exe Profile Public
1 TCP for EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.exe Profile All
1 UDP for EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.exe Profile All
Make sure that path to execs are all lowercase
so in my case it was:
C:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\glacier event\bfevent.exe
That fixed it for me
Hello! Thanks for tips! I did this but it did not help. I installed beta on my other computer and it worked fine straight away through steam. The funny part here is after about 6 reinstalls through steam and ea app, removing defender rules and creating them again, booting computer, trying ethernet or wifi, i did what user "Bartrader" have done and removed usb-c memory stick from my computer and now my bf 6 beta launches from steam.. im speechless. Thanks Bartrader for your tip too! :D
