Was it Punkbuster (PB)?
I dont think so. It was Easy Anticheat afaik. Just some older versions of the EA anticheat. Deleting all anticheat folders and doing a clean reinstall worked.

In this topic (just other comment) user fixed issue by delete Punkbuster.
So, it's mean that other old anticheats prevent running a game.
it worked for me, i deleted the punkbuster from every possible places and also deleted every EAAnti-thing, reinstalled the game through steam, because EA launcher didnt work at all.
I have Easy Anticheat as part of Space Marine 2, not older Battlefield titles that I don't have on pc but on console. Could it be the issue?
You could try deleting that, might be the cause of the problems but no guarantee. I assume it would redownload Easy Anticheat when you need it again, right?
I think so, repairing the space marine 2 files on steam would reinstall it, I'll tyr but I'm not happy at all with EA if this is the issue. I'll try and let you know.
