Bug Report from my play experience (~16 hours)
Hello, I loved BF4, so BF6 is off to a great start. I would like to inform you of some of the bugs I've come across so that you can hopefully pinpoint them. I'm sure others have reported, but here is mine:
- Headshot as sniper resulting in a weird object that is indescribable swirling and bunching up, as if the mesh of the player is tracking to your face somehow? It only lasts a few seconds, and happens very rarely.
- Sound doesn't go to game, sometimes when loading into a match the sound of the menu plays and the in game sounds are lowered too much to play, only resolution I've found is to exit to menu.
- When attempting to mute someone or interact with the scoreboard, occasionally it will not recognize where the mouse is, so you will double click or attempt to interact with a person to mute or whatever, and it'll continuously pull up a different user. I attempted to wasd to the player still same outcome. Only resolution leave the squad with the open mic person chewing chips in my ear.
- When attempting to utilize the Q wheel and interact with others to say thank you, the only three options on the left side, needing ammo, support, and the other, are the only options that it will scroll to. I've attempted many time to fix this, but it will not let me over to the thank you side.
- When in a tank, and attempting to swing turret around, I have to lift and push the mouse over and over to attempt to get it to spin far enough. Is there a way to change this to where the barrel will follow the mouse, and if you mouse over to the edge and it reaches that position it continues to rotate if you leave it at the edge? I feel like that is the more intuitive and normal type of interaction in most other games with tanks.
- Interaction with terrain will be extremely weird. Some places feel slippery? Like I'll be crouched in some rocks, and I'll just start sliding down the normal path that other people are just walking up? I'm not sure whats happening there.
- Interaction with terrain will occasionally result in what I can only describe as the "flash" movement, it looks like barry allen (the flash) is vibrating his molecules, and the player that made the movement won't match the hitbox to the mesh or position of where the player is actually located, making for really weird interactions.
- Attempting to join a specific type of match like conquest, occasionally results in a loading screen loop. It appears that you find a match and begin the loading in process, and as it takes you to the map and deployment menu it will fade out to a menu that isn't in that location and get stuck in a loading loop.
This is all I've found so far, thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. I would like to mention though, as far as betas go, this one is pretty clean. Thank you for returning to real battlefield again. Would absolutely lose it if you did a WW2 game similar to BF4, where you can get the attachments, modify the weapons, and rank up. Was super disappointed when you guys tried out the newer process in BF1 and BF5, but its okay, just something to consider from a fan.
