Bugs in the BF6 beta version and suggestions for improvements

Congratulations to the developers, the game is definitely better than the previous BF2042.

Below, I list the bugs I found in the BF6 beta and mention one major gameplay issue:

- The biggest problem with the new BF6 game is once again the mandatory Cross-play feature. This is one of the main reasons why the PC community has largely abandoned BF2042. There is no option to disable Cross-play in the settings. The feature needs to be disabled by default. Already during the BF6 beta testing, it is clear that the "autoaim" feature on game consoles will be a big problem for the PC community.

- Shooting range - when I am at the shooting range, the menu does not have access to the game settings menu.

- Settings menu - If I am two levels down in the settings menu, pressing the ESC key takes me back to the root settings and not one level up.

- Ammo collection - will it no longer be possible to collect ammo from fallen enemies in the game, similar to BF5, for example?

- TTK and gunplay - it's great compared to BF 2042. However, this only applies to PC vs PC players. In the case of PC vs game console, the TTK is disastrous for PC players.

- Small first aid kits for medics - I miss the small mobile first aid kits for the "medic" class that we were used to in BFV, BF4, and BF1. However, this is greatly compensated for by autoheal, which I appreciate just as much as in BF1.

- Medic class function - why does the medic have a support function, which is cumbersome in terms of weapons and has another handicap? This is solved perfectly in BF4 or BFV.

- Information about the number of game frames - when I turn on FPS information in the game settings, it is just as confusing and small as it was in BF2042. I would add another item to the game settings for a simple version with large numbers only for FPS graphics.

- Fullscreen - most PC players play with Fullscreen graphics settings. However, switching to Windows using the Alt+Tab key combination is problematic here.

- Settings menu - a number of items are duplicated and contained in several other submenus. For example, mouse sensitivity, but also others. I think this is confusing and contributes to the menu being unclear. The menu solution in B1 and BFV games has better logic and no duplicate items.

- Menu settings - a number of items are duplicated and contained in several other submenus. For example, mouse sensitivity, but also others. I think this is confusing and contributes to the menu being unclear. Again, B1 and BFV have better logic, without duplicate items.

- Settings menu - I would welcome it if some visual settings were already visible in the background of the game, as was the case in BF4, for example. For example, various crosshair modifications, changes to game graphics settings, sounds, etc.

- Dedicated weapons for specific game classes - I see this as a bad idea when some weapons are penalized in terms of their characteristics if they are in the hands of a game class that does not normally have that weapon in its standard equipment. Then such weapons make no sense for another class and should not be accessible.

    • I miss the great sounds that were in the previous games BFV, BF1, and BF4. I feel like the sounds are as uninteresting as in BF2042.

I have to strongly disagree with this point. Some sounds like the kill sound effects are similar to 2042, but overall the audio system is really great.

Anyways, good previous points, I'm sure there will be some changes when the full game drops.

Thank you for your feedback and support.

As for the game sounds, yes, I agree that they are better than in BF2042.
However, I think that previous versions of the game were better in terms of sound appeal.
For example, the sound of a helmet being hit in BFV is absolutely fantastic. Or the sound of the M1 Grant tank's ejector clip. Not to mention the explosion of a V2 rocket.

I'm missing something like that in BF6 so far.
But it's a start, and I believe it will get better and better.

  • They should at least have cross play turned off by default in the menus,  so that we are not inadvertently forced to play with PC players. Most players never go into the menu and turn it off as I have seen in other games with cross play. On the other games with cross play when I turn cross play off, I would never find a lobby. This sucks bad and I felt it immediately. I will not be buying this one if it's forcing me to play with the sweaty PC players.

  • FYI, PC has aim assist enabled by default too. Try turning it off for a game and then enabling again. It's basically aimbot.

  • Isn't it great how the industry decided for the consumer that it would better to have cross-platform so that console and PC could play together because friendship or something? Inadvertent consequences and now I have to play against PC players who cry about aim assist.
