Bunch of BF6 Open Beta Issues & Bugs

I played heavily during the Open Beta on PC, here's some Issues & Bugs I came across.

GAMEPLAY

1. AT mines sometimes failed to fire when an enemy vehicle was in proximity.
AT mines sometimes failed to hit after firing. I experienced this both when using the mines, and when they were sprung on my vehicle.

2. Sometimes the IFV guided missile sometimes lost tracking and went haywire (I was using the mouse, and usually keeping the aim steady). Maybe it has something to do with smoke? - Although sometimes it was a very clear shot and it still diverted uncontrollably.

3. Sometimes when placing a deployable it will disappear, not giving you the deployable, but still eating your cooldown use of it. I don't know exactly what causes it. Very annoying. (For example spawning on your Spawn Beacon, looking down to replace it, and suddenly you are now without a Spawn Beacon on the ground or in your inventory. Or another example trying to place an AT mine but even though it shows the white graphic signifying it's okay to place, it will fail to place, but also take it out of your available equipment in the bottom right UI).

4. Sometimes defibrillator revives wouldn't connect. Even point-blank after multiple attempts. This causes the player confusion, wasting time for multiple attempts, and then usually a resignation to just spend the 3.5 seconds on the injector revive as a workaround.

5. Sometimes dying bodies were under the terrain or map, up to a few meters. You could usually still revive them and they would pop back up at a normal position. Also dying bodies sometimes popped up to ground level even without a revive. I'm not sure what causes them to go underground in the first place, or what can cause them to recover to the surface either.

6. Sometimes the Spawn Beacon shows red while trying to place it, even when there's nothing around. Sometimes there would be no visible objects that would interfere with the placement, but the placement would still be red. Maybe notable, I have the amount of High Fidelity Objects to low (All settings low/off).

7. Close to the end of the beta, I noticed a lot of saviour kills. A lot of the end-game scorecards were giving career best's for saviour kills for multiple squadmates. I think this was bugged. The stat was showing up way more frequent than before, and at higher numbers. When I started paying attention I noticed one game for myself with 61 saviour kills, but only had 26 actual kills total. I think I also noticed getting a kill during a match and one of the little rectangles on kill said 2xSaviour. I think something is wrong here, but debugging diagnostics should help.

8. Smokes sometimes failed to activate. Throw a grenade at the ground, no smoke at all emanates. The other of the 2 smoke grenades usually still functioned correctly.

GAMEPLAY/UI

9. I had some issues with the air vehicles free look. It should start at the current crosshair position. Right now there's some weirdness going on where free look doesn't start looking where you thought it would. This also affects the Jet's alternate white filter mode, where it's momentarily confusing where you're actually looking when you first press the button.

10. At the beginning of every match your name with the mic symbol visually activates, even when your mic button is not pressed. I feel like this was a relic of a sort of debug. It's not necessary.

11. An infuriating amount of times, the game would take awhile to quit to main menu (Like up to 10 seconds), or it wouldn't even quit to menu at all.

12. Rarely, I couldn't spawn on a deploy beacon, even though it was active, the spawn option square green, and monitor camera was spinning. I tried both the Spacebar and clicking the mouse. It seemed like it was in a normal spot, not out of bounds.

13. When using the CommoRose with 'Q-hold' + mouse-drag, sometimes the wheel determined an incorrect direction. For example I would try to ask for 'Ammo', but it might go to 'Thanks' instead. Not too sure what's going on here, but this feature needs smoothed out for accuracy using the mouse.

14. Sometimes a lock on a target wouldn't complete. Their flares were already used 5+ seconds ago, and direct line of sight was maintained. Still never progressed from yellow to red lock.

15. I killed an attack jet with a stinger, but the kill feed showed the kill was with an attack jet - not the stinger.

16. Once, I died on a jeep, and wasn't able to hold space to "skip revive".

17. Sometimes the game map (m) would flicker between friendly/enemy colors for spawn options. Like it was getting confused as to which team you were on, and therefore how it should display your/their team. Frequency of about once every ~10 maps, for a few brief moments. Noticed on Liberation Peak, might affect other maps.

18. When your vehicle gets Locked on, and a missile is incoming, it doesn't show 'Incoming' like it does for aircraft. There is a noticeable gap of silence before you are hit with the missile. This happens with the Heli gunner A2G, and the Jet A2G vs any ground vehicle.

19. There's a bug with the Helicopter, where the gunner's head is situated too high, which blocks the pilot's first person vision.

UI

20. Pretty frequently (1 in ~10 games) I'd get infinite load screens, requiring Alt-F4's. The screen it got stuck on said BATTLEFIELD 6 with 4 soldiers looking into a city warzone. The small white square at the bottom was still animating.

21. I experienced jittering vehicles, making it hard to drive. This was also sometimes accompanied by the vehicle HUD flashing in FPV.

22. Sometimes the camera can shake uncontrollably (No source of regular camera shake). This can cause you to break a lock, and makes it hard to play.

23. Sometimes the helicopter would have the third person camera affixed at a ~30-45 degree angle. This made it very difficult to fly under this condition. If it happened once during the match it was likely to happen again.

24. One time there was a missing crosshair (Attack Jet main gun), and no bomb indicator. Made it really hard to line up targets.

25. When trying to respawn: The 'In-Combat' system wasn't accurate. Whether the spawn option square was green or red sometimes didn't seem to matter. Sometimes green allies I couldn't spawn on. Sometimes red IFVs I could spawn on.

26. There was a QR code that I wasn't able to scan. I guess for whatever reason it just wouldn't think there was an available readable QR code, even when the camera was focused, steady, with the QR code nicely in frame. I suggest having a normal clickable hyperlink.

27. There was a QR code on a page, but the page was part of a carousel-type display, so while trying to scan the QR code the page kept disappearing and moving onto the next slide, very annoying. Some way to pause the carousel, or an easier clickable hyperlink would be appreciated.

28. There's an obnoxious and loud explosion sound when going to the loading screen, between matches. This may be to notify you when the next game is ready, but if that's the case and it's not just a bug, then it needs the volume reduced, or a change to a different sound, or a settings option to turn it off.

29. I wanted to bind pitch up / down to my side mouse buttons but I couldn't. There's a limitation because in the mouse section it already has the analog mouse movement in that column, but I also want to use my side mouse buttons as well. I'm trying to avoid the scenario while I'm constantly lift-tilting my mouse when doing tight turns, because this actually loses turn radius (Compared to an opponent in a Jet who may be using a controller, who doesn't have this turn radius issue). In a different game, I have it comfortably set to my 2 side mouse buttons, but here I just can't.

30. Using the console ~, I wasn't able to scroll up when using 'list' to see the commands. Page Up/Down and scroll wheel did not work.

31. Typo: Settings > Mouse & Keyboard > Infantry > Control Settings > Crouch Slide > "CROUCH HOLD: Crouh (Hold) only" --> "CROUCH HOLD: Crouch (Hold) only"

GRAPHICS/OPTIMIZATION

32. One serious BSOD forced restart, saying something was trying to write to read only memory.

33. High CPU usage, 100%. Settings on low. CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor, 3600 Mhz, 6 Core(s), 12 Logical Processor(s)

34. Some graphical artifacting reminiscent of a dying graphics card (Frequency around 1 in ~15 games). I'll visually describe the effect I was seeing: Flashing triangles, with their 3 points always 1 at the center of the screen and 2 at the edges of the screen. Rapidly flashing, lasting 0.1 seconds up to 10 seconds. Sometimes there was also a separate effect happening, but it was very brief and hard to describe. I'll try: Medium sized bright green blob shape, accompanied by a bunch of black squares in it. GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER

MATCHMAKING

35. There were some Party play inconsistencies. Sometimes one member would make it into a match, but another member wouldn't.
Rarely, it would actually split the 2 party members, schisming us into 2 different games.
Requeuing for a match also failed to work a lot of the time. Leaving us in perpetual 'matchmaking' at the end-of-round screen.

36. Sometimes the matchmaking search would cancel early, without finding a match.

37. For matchmaking, the bottom left searching timer starts at 3 seconds. It should start from 0. This is deceptive.

38. Custom Search was unreliable. Sometimes getting into games extremely quickly, but on the wrong map. For example I only wanted to play with the Heli/Jet (Liberation Peak Conquest), but it kept putting me on infantry only maps.

LEVEL DESIGN

39. On the Liberation Peak map, there's an inconsistency between the 2 team's repair stations at their HQs.
West side (I think Nato?) has one that repairs&resupplies at a very fast rate in an AoE. The east side (I think Pax Armata?) had one that functioned very slowly in a reduced AoE (Like those found on other maps). Obviously this discrepancy should be resolved for balance reasons. In general I prefer it when there's a fast AoE one at the HQs and if there are any mid-map that they are the slower version (This is probably what was intended). I think the repair stations just need a polish sweep on all the maps before release to sanity check they're all working as intended.
