CONTROLLER INPUT CRASHING GAME - PC

Controller in use: PS5 Edge 

I can play the beta fine with mnk. If i push a single button on my controller, the game picks it up as a button has been pressed, then instant crash. Tried over 10 times.

I tried to use dsx which cost money to download, a controller emulation program to make the pc tell the game its xbox. Same issue. 

After all these years i was hoping battlefield would figure out how controllers on pc work. cant be to hard if nearly evey other game out there has controller support that works. its a shame because im not sure if i will buy the full game now.
