CPU bottlenecking / more than recommended specs

Hi,

I seem to have tons of problems with packet loss which causes game to feel like i'm playing on 300 ping... sometimes it's literally unplayable (like in Cario maps). The only mode game works fine is domination, but I also want to try out other ones.

All setting in graphics are on low, FPS limited to 60 (yeah, sometimes i had more), TAA, blurs off... well see for yourself. Meaby you have a solution. I've already tried everything mentioned here/on reddit but i only had minor improvements. Would appreciate any help coming in - not sure if it's just "outdated CPU" (wtf it's one of good ones and above recommended), or sth is messed up in my setting mby

Motherboard TUF Gaming z690-plus D4
Intel I5-12600 KF
32 GB RAM (not on dual though as this is an issue as of some time in my motherboard - this shouldb't be the problem though)
RTX 3070 TI, 8GB VRAM

  • Hi,

Reddit did the job and for me it seems XMP was off. Once I turned it on and fixed RAM timings to 3600mhz (max my RAM can handle) the game is working normalny with 60+ FPS all the time

Hi I seemed to have fixed mine,
    I had high CPU usage,
I was crashing randomly when zooming in and getting a directx crash,
To fix it for me I changed 2 things to get it working with no crash at all.

    1. In battlefield 6 graphics settings change performance preset to performance, also I needed to set ,  upscaling technique to fsr and the upscaling quality to quality.
this stopped the crash for me, and I had tried everything.

To stop the high CPU usage
    2. I made a User.cfg file, to put in my battlefield 6 folder to help with the high CPU usage, it dropped my CPU usage from 97% usage to about 50 to 60% usage.

To make your User.cfg file you need to go to your task manager and get some numbers from your CPU,
open your task manager go to performance, CPU,
you need your cores and Logical processors numbers mine looks like this,
my cores was 4, and my Logical processors was 8,

Right click on your desktop to make a new text document and put this in with your own CPU numbers.

    Thread.ProcessorCount 4
    Thread.MaxProcessorCount 4
    Thread.MinFreeProcessorCount 0
    Thread.JobThreadPriority 0
    GstRender.Thread.MaxProcessorCount 8

change your numbers to what your CPU numbers are and click, file, save as, and name it  User.cfg
now you have your file on your desktop,  you need to put the User.cfg file in to your game folder,
mine was in steam so it looks like this,
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Glacier Events0000

This really helped me and my game it made it smooth to play.
    hope it helps.

  • Yes siege of cairo is the worst. Its not that bad when the round starts, but when theres alot of destruction it gets worse and worse.

I've got 8086k which is normally pegged at 100 percent all the time with the 6700xt just kind of chilling aside even with all the settings at ultra, but what i've found is playing in full screen rather than borderless made huge difference.
