Solved

Crashing to desktop after 5 ~ 30 minutes of gameplay.

TPM 2.0, Secure Boot on.

I've shut down background processes to make sure I'm not getting false positive flags and that is why Javelin is shutting down. It seems like Javelin itself is crashing for a random reason after looking at it in Event viewer.

I haven't found much online around this error so I'm not sure if it's isolated to me, or if others are experiencing it as well.

I have attached my MSinfo text file.

I've just updated my bios yesterday, and I also updated to windows 11 which seems to have resolved all my issues as I've managed to play with no crashes at all now.

After flashing my bios it did render the boot loader unable to find an OS installed on any of my drives, the boot loader didn't even recognise any of my SSD's or my M.2 C drive, just a random 2tb HDD I use for archival purposes. After a clean OS install though everything is working fine.

I'm not sure which step is was that fixed my issues with Javelin crashing however, I would follow these steps and see if you have any further issues.

    1.  Check that you have up to date bios firmware form your board manufacturer's website,  and follow their instructions to perform the firmware flash.
    2. Make sure your graphics card drivers are up to date with the current version required by Battlefield 6.
    3. Updating to windows 11. This might be optional, however given Microsofts support is ending for windows 10 security updates in October for non-enterprise versions, it's probably a good idea to update if you are still on windows 10. As my pc didn't get prompted to update to windows 11 automatically I had to get the windows 11 install assistant from Microsofts website which allowed me to update.

After all of that I am having no issues now with the game, hope this does help anyone running into the same issue with Javelin anticheat crashing and seeing the same issue in event viewer.

same issue, then to validate files on steam it returned 3 files corrupted

  • What cpu do you have. I use I9 13900k and was having non stop pc restarting issues. Game would sometimes work for 2min then pc shut down. Turn out  just needed to update the bios. All issues gone.

It's not an issue with the PC restarting. The game simply closes without any obvious error. You can only tell the error by looking in Event Viewer. I can play from 1 - 10 minutes before the game simply closes. Gameplay or simply sitting in the menu doesn't matter. BIOS fully updated.

I just want to add for future generations that in my case I managed to resolve it be enabling Core DMA Protection, which was not on by default. It can be checked with msinfo32 and then enabled in Windows Security. Might need to enable some Intel Virtualization in bios for it to actually turn on (double check msinfo32 after enabling it)
