Custom Controller binding doesn’t work correctly

On PS5, I can’t seem to custom map certain buttons. Trying to swap crouch and melee, however when melee is mapped to circle and crouch is mapped to right stick press, I will still crouch upon pressing circle.
I have even tried clearing any binds from using circle and pressing it will still cause me to crouch
