EA Anticheat sys file missing causing black screen?

This bug from 2 months ago is the exact issue I'm having with BF6 Open Beta. Literally every detail is identical. Launch game, black screen for about 10 seconds, game closes with errors logged in Event Viewer. Attempting to manually start anticheat service throws code 87. Presumably the image path pointing to a sys file in System32 is completely missing, although my brother who is playing the game fine says he doesn't have this sys file in that directory at all.

Not sure what's going on here, but old spaghetti code seems to be making new games unplayable. If anyone has any new insight on how to fix this **bleep**, please let me know and contact EA to make them fix this old bug.

  • For further context, some of my friends are also experiencing this exact same bug. Here is a dump of my sysinfo and error reports.

Open the NFO file using Right Click --> Open With --> System Information
Open the EVTX files using Right Click --> Open With --> Event Viewer
