EA Party Leader Inactivity Restarting Matchmaking will Pull Party into New Game

Character limit on the title made this janky, but the issue is: 

Friend had to step away and was kicked due to inactivity. They were replaced by a new person in the squad, but then when they tried to join again it restarted matchmaking and our party (not squad) was pulled into the new game.
