Event Graph is useless

 Trying to monitor my client versus server hits because I consistently get 5-10 hitmarkers on people with a 33 damage rifle and they don't die. I enabled the event graph but it's basically useless because it disappears as soon as I die and resets to zero when I respawn. The event graph should remain visible and continue tracking until someone respawns. No one is going to be able to make use of it while they are alive and actively shooting people. The only time it would be helpful is when someone has died and wondered if their shots registered, which is also when it disappears. I don't know if this is a bug or working as intended but it needs to be changed.
