Guns stop shooting randomly including repair tool

Question

Title says it all. I'm on PC and my guns stop firing mid fight. I am 100% sure that I am not running out of ammo or switching fire modes. It even happens when I'm repairing with the repair tool. What could be the cause?

P.S. this only happens during a match and not in the firing range
