Party Members Placed in Different Squads After Automatic Post-Match Matchmaking

When using the automatic matchmaking that occurs after a game end (rather than starting directly from the lobby), there are cases where party members are not placed in the same squad once the new game begins. This issue appears to affect players more frequently when the Steam account ID or display name contains non-English characters (appear as garbled or unreadable text in the game). These party members are assigned to different squads despite being in the same side.
