Slow motion / high Time Nudge issue

Also affected by this despite the game running at ~40FPS and no packet loss as indicated by the network graphs. I'm hoping it gets fixed by week 2 of the open beta. 

POTENTIAL FIX: This (setting up RAM for dual channel) was the fix for my buddy! He "had" dual channel memory supported by the board, but the sticks were directly next to each other (not utilizing the dual channel functionality). He had tried everything else he could think of: changing memory config in bios, updating drivers, etc. After placing sticks in the proper slots to enable dual channel it fixed the issue for him.

i used to think it was also my issue when playing BF2042 so eventually i upgraded PC. I still have the same issues with BF6. i have been trying to fix it since friday and have only managed to play maybe 3 (albeit laggy to say the least) matches. 

I also haven't really seen any devs mention this issue before :/

I have enabled XMP, tried the config files, tried all different types of settings in game, re-downloaded, checked my pc settings, tried both EA and Steam separately and many many other things

I also have great internet and tethered to my router with 1GB fibre optic. I don't have this issue with any other games that i am aware of apart from BF titles - there aren't loads of us with this issue so they don't seem to care, but there are enough. I really hope something is done before the next weekend play test and its just a beta issue..

Same issue. It has to do with RAM speed and CPU usage. It would be good to get a rundown from a dev on if this is something that can be fixed, but it's mainly on older hardware I believe. I'm running a R5 2600 and 2x8 gigs 2400Mhz  DDR4 RAM and a RTX 3060. The temp solution is to enable XMP/DOCP in the BIOS if you haven't, so your ram uses higher speeds. Mine is only rated for 2400Mhz though, and it seems like it needs higher for some folks to run smoothly enough.. Might also just be an issue of the CPU being overwhelmed. It'd be nice if a dev can chip in and tell us if we can expect this to be solved or if it's just a limit of our hardware. Either case, 700ms latency will absolutely keep me from preordering and buying at launch :/

But I have a stable 60+ FPS in the game, and I turned on all possible performance metrics in the settings on the very first day of beta to understand what’s going on.

I tried tweaking the graphics settings but it didn’t affect the issue in any way, although the FPS did go up.

I understand my hardware is mid-range, but I have friends who played the beta on ancient PCs and didn’t have such problems.

If the game's framerate is below 60fps the computer won't be able to keep up with network traffic and TN (time nudge) will spike.

Type this into the Battlefield 6 command console to see the game's fps in the top right corner of the screen.

PerfOverlay.DrawFps 1

If CPU fps is red and below 60fps then the computer can't keep up with network traffic and time nudge will always spike.

i recommend enabling xmp and trying to boost that ram frequency, but it most likely won't solve the TN issue

l'm experiencing the same issue.

l'm also seeing extremely high Time Nudge values during matches which causes the game to feel like it's running in slow motion, with delayed inputs and poor hit registration.

The only thing that helped reduce the TN (though not completely fix it) was disabling the efficiency cores on my Intel CPU.
My specs: i5-13420H, RTX 3050 6GB Laptop, 8GB RAM.

I agree that this shouldn't be necessary, as my system seems to meet the minimum requirements. Hoping this is addressed in a future patch.

Hi, I’m having exactly the same problem.

If I play King of the Hill or Domination modes on small maps, the game runs perfectly fine, absolutely no issues.
No drops during map destruction or anything like that.

But on medium/large maps in Breakthrough or Conquest modes, my TN (Time Nudge) spikes to 500ms–1500ms, which basically makes the game unplayable. Players and objects teleport, shots don’t register, etc.
I haven’t noticed any other network-related issues... Everything else seems fine.

I still can’t figure out whether this is a client-side or server-side problem.

Intel Core i7-11800H
GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU (6 GB)
32 GB DDR4 RAM (3200MHz, single channel)

This is probably the only thing stopping me from pre-ordering the game. I just hope that at some point in the future it at least becomes clear what exactly is causing the problem.

i have the same frustrating problem on intel cpu i have 2000ms on TN tried all the solutions including user.cfg but i think its my ram cause it is locked to 2400 Mhz
