Steam/PC: Friendslist not working

So in the main Menu, you should be able to hit TAB and your friends menu should pop up.
For me, Tab doesn't do anything.

So I linked my EA Account to Steam and play via Steam.
Sometimes I'm able to join friends via Steam, but most of the time it would just let me watch their games but not join them.

Btw: i dont have the EA App running because it's not working on my PC.
