STINGERS AND FLARES. is the gameplay fair?
I'm starting to think there's been a shift in fps community particularly battlefield with just the awe inspired moments between friends and fellow squad mates to the only in Battlefield moments. What battlefield fans live for really, the moments that make battlefield battlefield. I believe the genre is being divided by players that don't understand or perhaps haven't experienced or absorbed that kind experience from battlefield. Not seeing an opposing opposition perform the coolest maneuver ever and saying that was awesome and I'm not even mad! I absolutely am so thankful for bad company 2, battlefield 3 and battlefield 4 giving me those moments with my younger brother all of those years ago. Alot of fun figuring out the phantom Easter egg and getting the bow early. But anyways I believe everyone is extremely kill hungry going for everything they see and easiest way to do it. Almost like the Meta phase of things. My main focus here is, are the flares in the aircrafts in Battlefield 6 really fair to the mechanics and timing of re-deploying as an engineer with a stinger? Has the timers and recharge rates compared to re-deployment been considered in countering multiple engineers with stingers, an Apache and anti- aircraft all at once with the number of counters given to the pilot?
I am possibly thinking a change may be in order if this is the meta of engineer players now to immediately switch to the stinger to take out anything in the sky, perhaps give the aircraft and limit of countermeasures that can work with, a capacity that needs to be monitored and used sparingly or at the will of the pilot. Though perhaps on a cool down as if the flares are overheating? As if you're on the gunner on a ground vehicle and eventually it overheats and must have a cool down as was being used too much? I'm not sure but logically it seems very unfair at this point in time in my opinion and I don't remember it being such a normal thing that I cannot go anywhere near the map without depleting my countermeasures eventually to to be killed 10 times out of 10.
For example you could spawn with 200 flares and they shoot out at a rate like 10 or 20 a second but if fired too much for maybe 3 seconds straight goes on a cool down like the overheating feature. As the current cool down time is longer than which someone could re deploy after shooting the last stinger to be hit with a countermeasures and then the engineer could spawn before the pilots countermeasures even refresh just to be killed by the same engineer who depleted them? Just seems like a very guaranteed way like as if it's not fair.
I'm not sure what everyone's opinion would be as I do understand with the full release of battlefield 6 players will be able to host their own servers I assume and then administer their own set of server rules for example no spamming stingers or spamming frag rounds in the shotgun or no jet ramming. Is just about frustrating as I have not really been able to fly the jets during the open weekend as there's half a dozen people using stingers, during the early access phase last week did not have a problem, I gave no gamer rage perhaps? As everyone was having fun playing and just understood that may ruin it for people trying to have a go as obviously flying the jets is very limited by map and count of how many are available. Perhaps there should be a limit on how many engineers per side can obtain a stinger?
