Unable to switch fire mode from semi auto after going down and being revived

Xbox Series X. Using the assault class and using the M433 as my primary. As it starts off in full auto normally, I switch to semi auto, get downed and someone comes by and revives me, then i am unable to switch back from semi auto the entire rest of the match, regardless of subsequent deaths or switching between other equipped loadout weapons. Has happened several times now.
