Re: BF6 Beta Siege of Cairo Map Roof Exploit

If anyone cares about my opinion. I think Roofs are fun. But instead of forbidding access to them, it would be worthwhile either to create some roofs that can be accessed to a tactical position with collapsible stairs, or collapsible roofs (Make them like a collapsible floor). Just think about how vertical the gameplay can become. In any case, regardless of whether the roofs are banned or not, there will be players who will still try to get to these places. Why ban fun when it can be properly presented?

If this is not addressed it is going to be a massive issue in Battlefield 6. In all maps so far verticality where that is not intended by design is being massively exploited across both beta weeks and this is going to ruin the multiplayer experience to the point I may even need to refund my game if this is not fixed by launch

The issue with rooftops is that once a squad is up there with a respawn beacon and because the tops of the buildings are indestructible and the floor to the roof is indestructible unlike other floors where you are intended to be. It means you cannot kill that squad. They get up there, put a respawn beacon and win the match by abusing a massive exploit

So EA needs to either make everything above where players are meant to be literally just be out of combat zone for infantry

Or they need to add destruction to the rooftops on New York, Cairo, Iberia (Gibraltar) and any other maps with rooftops. As well as make the mountain terrain semi destructible on Tajikistan as that map also has that same exploit where you can climb to ridiculously overpowered positions, pop down a respawn beacon and your squad cannot be killed

One of these two solutions need to be in place before launch or otherwise this exploit is really going to ruin the game. Many matches in the beta were ruined by this exploit already, I will NOT be keeping my purchase if this exploit is not resolved permanently across ALL MAPS

Destruction feels like it’s in line with the direction they’re already pushing. The rooftop details even make it seem like ladders or intended access points were on the table at some stage.

From my experience in the Beta, slower squads that avoid sprinting into open streets—and use smoke, suppressive fire, and a counter‑sniper—can deal with rooftop campers pretty effectively. If mortars are coming as hinted, that’s another built‑in counter that adds more tactical options without locking things down completely.

I don’t think every high position needs to be off‑limits. With the right tools and pacing, vertical threats can be part of the game’s ebb and flow rather than a constant exploit.

Because it’s cheating. You are using exploits to get up there. The devs didn’t want you to get on the rooftops for a reason.

Kahldin these maps are clearly designed for the conflict to be at ground level if they make it so everyone can use the rooftops the maps are going to become utter chaos and it is going to completely destroy the balance of the map

The most likely is they will just make it out of combat zone

This is a make or break here. I don’t think any of this ‘parkour’ was intentional. But seeing how many people are in favour of it is very surprising.

Either completely remove the possibility to gain vertical advantage beyond what’s intended, or balance each map with legitimate access routes so every player has the opportunity to do so and doesn’t need ‘secret knowledge’ gained off of a 30s YouTube short.

This needs to be addressed as map play is a huge part of Battlefields selling point, leaving it broken as it was in the playtest will almost certainly result in a failure of the game.
