Re: "Connection Failed" Error 1:85008S:4688822970:0Q

I've been having this ongoing issue with all Battlefield games where I go offline a few minutes after launching the game. I recently downloaded the Battlefield 6 beta and final received an error code 1:85008S:4688822970:0Q.

I haven't been able to find and support explaining what this means. I've already tried all the standard troubleshooting steps, including reinstalling/repairing the game multiple times, reinstalling EasyAntiCheat, and deleting all EA/Battlefield files with nothing solving the issue.

Has anyone encountered this code before, or know what it indicates?

After none of the basic trouble shooting steps could fix my problem I ended up resetting my pc and reformatting my hard drive, the game was on, and my problem seems to be fixed.

I got the same Connection Failed error both on Steam and EA App after a few minutes in a match or in the menu. One of these fixed it for me:

    1. Saw a comment about custom DNS servers (I use Cloudflare) -> reverted to ISP provided ones
    2. I had Private Internet Access VPN running on my pc (even though BF6 was bypassing it) -> I closed it (and exited some services still visible in Task Manager)
    3. AdGuard was running -> I closed it (and exited some services still visible in Task Manager)

I did all of these at the same time so dunno which ones solved the issue but I was able to do a full Domination match after. For others it might be some other internet related programs or whatever interfering with the game.

Have done everything aswell besides a factory reset. have changed DNS/VPN settings, firewall, uninstall/re-install of ea services and anticheat + the game, even upgraded to windows 11 from 10 just to see. Was able to play a full match then the error came back in the next match, error does take longer to occur after doing all this but it still happens, really really annoying

I tried the exact same steps with that factory reset and reformat of my hard drive being my only solution. I was able to play BF6 for a few hours with no issues.

Finally found a solution for my situation with this error code thanks to WooDChvck21. I went to windows services and made sure "DNS client" is running. After trying almost everything besides a factory reset, I checked mine and it was disabled and after enabling it I've been able to play full matches

Thank you for the help. I automatically restored the DNS service and removed the DNS-changing software on my computer. And everything seems to be working normally since then. No more disconnection errors.
