EA app XP boost - fix it please
Simply put – EA promised to provide XP boost to players impacted by the EA app launch issue. To date - this has not happened. The lack of accountability from EA is astonishing.
As posted by EA, impacted players were promised compensation based on the app launch issues. EA has not delivered on this promise, and they appear to be applying criteria to minimize the number of eligible players. In an example of how broken their eligibility criteria process is, there are players who refunded the EA app game and bought it on Steam to play immediately who have now since received the boosts. But EA app players that attempted to use the training range, play with bots, or tried to work around the broken interface to get limited game functionality while waiting for a fix did not receive anything. Regardless, EA app users were impacted and the promise from EA’s post was to provide compensation.
I am long time BF player on this account, created in 2009. I stopped buying EA products after 2042’s launch on consoles. I swore off EA games and wasn’t planning on buying another EA product until the BF6 beta. I was impressed enough with the beta to change my mind and even do something I would have never considered doing previously – preorder it. Imagine my frustration when I couldn’t get the game to work during the launch. Further this frustration with EA’s abysmal ticket processing system. Over the course of the ticket I started Friday, I’ve had 7 different advisors. Most of which never read the ticket history and provide random responses like, PC troubleshooting steps (wtf?), secure boot requirements, and random other statements saying they are working the issue. My ticket has also stated that I’ve been verified as being impacted, the boosts are going to be delivered to me, and the boosts are already in my inbox. Nothing has happened, how hard is it to figure this out?
This is make or break for me going forward. EA is draining credibility and if they are truly looking for long term player engagements and future season pass investment, they should make good on their promises.
