(Help) Class weapon challenges

I've completed the first weapon challenge for engineering and also the second challenge for assault and neither weapon is unlocked for me the SMG still shows locked and so does the assault rifle. is there something wrong with my game because I've restarted is and even clicked on the challenge to make sure requirements are met and all seems correct.  I need to use the SMG in order to complete the second challenge for engineering, so I don't know what else to do please help

I like the game so I don't want a refund but if I can't fix this issue or get help fixing it I don't think Ill want to continue playing
