Sound Lags In Veilguard

I have trouble getting the sound working correctly in Dragon Age Veilguard. It launched fine the first few times, but now the sound stutters when I open the game. I tried several troubleshooting steps already, but nothing seemed to fix the issue. 
Has anyone dealt with the same problem and was able to fix it?
