Can I edit files to remove steering delay?

@ScarDuck14

I suddenly have this really funny idea of 3d printing whole bunch of gears and levers translating a captains ship wheel to the tiny thumbstick and playing formula 1 on it. "To get the most out of the game." 😃

That would be the most funny and memorable commercial to the game. A real eye catcher if the actor is good too, and pretends to be really serious about it, teaching the camera how to drive a formula 1 going really slow and using all kinds of captains language for turn manouvers. showing control panel to be a tiny little xbox one controller.

"own the game."

@ivun3 if I'm reading you right, they've thought of that as well 😂

You will find all sorts of 3D printed accessories searching for "thumbstick wheel add-on" or the like.

On a similar vein, Thrustmaster has released this:

Hey wait a minute, there must be some software that translates 360 degree of the left thumbstick input to accurate left and right precentages. No game dev need! =D

oh my got I hope that exists and is legal.

Aww man! Some geek written some code to make it work but I don't understand a word of any of it. And how to apply. Probably just works for truck simulator only

I give up. For now.

There's actually a 3D printed thumbstick wheel that works with controllers. I used one for F1 2021 before moving over to a proper wheel. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3062713 Can also be purchased from some online sellers

So neat. Clever simple and solid design. Would be hard to throttle and brake tho.

I still think my idea is best. The thumbstick can easily rotate 360 degrees. If the game simply transfers that to steering axis. Then ready to race. Simple easy peasy lemon squeezy.

The left thumbstick can move in all sorts of ways. If you simply apply the right pressure from the right angle, it will do anything you want it to.

Full 360 degree rotational capability? NO PROBLEM!
